Resources for Fort Bragg veterans

VFW Fort Bragg post 11166

The best way to learn about the resources available to veterans is to network with other veterans.   One of the best opportunities is the local, Fort Bragg, chapter of the VFW.  The local post meets once a month on the second Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Building (on the corner of Laurel and Harrison streets – map).  All veterans are welcome to attend the meeting; if you are not a member of the VFW you can attend as a guest.  Membership in the VFW is open to both men and women veterans.  The meetings start at 6:30 PM; a pre-meeting pot luck starts around 5:30 PM.

With the ID, veterans will no longer need to carry a copy of their military discharge papers (DD-214) to show proof of service.

Who is eligible: A person who served in the active military and who was discharged or released under Honorable conditions. What you will need: A copy of your Discharge Papers (DD-214) and A Photo ID.
